Bradybug's Ladybug

As Kevin & Bradyn were walking to the car after school on Thursday, Bradyn spotted a ladybug, and wanted to keep it as a pet. Kevin told her that, if she was still and quiet, the ladybug might come to her, but she could only keep her as long a she wanted to stay. The amazing part is that Bradyn held out her hand so it could crawl on, and it stayed on her hand all the way home in the car and into the house!

Eventually Bradyn set it free outside, but she was very excited about having found a friend.
(I have to be honest.... it's not the ladybug I'm looking at in this picture - it's the chubby little fingers! She is so my kid.)

Bradyn's Last Year Of Daycare

Well, actually, as Kevin has already pointed out to me it's technically not really Bradyn's last year of daycare. When she starts kindergarten next fall, Bradyn will still be in before & after school care so I guess if you want to get technical, we have entered our last year of full-time daycare.

Although many of her friends have moved on to kindergarten or other daycares this year and she has lots of new classmates, September brings no real difference to Bradyn's day-to-day life. Having said that, I can't help but think how different things will soon be. We did do a little back to school shopping (new shoes, new slippers, new lunchbag, a few clothes...), and I couldn't help but be the cheerleader for getting Bradyn excited about being the oldest in her class and helping all of her new friends learn the ropes.

Although I forgot to take pictures this morning, I managed to convince Miss B to pose for me after dinner. (Thanks for the reminder Sherri!)

Yep - I'm 99% percent certain that my blog posting 1 year from now is going to be pretty sentimental and weepy.
