Hulk Hogan & Friends

As you are all well aware, Kevin has taken it upon himself to ensure that Bradyn is very familiar with the world of wrestling. While I often roll my eyes, I cannot deny the fact that she does appear to take an interest and even 'pop' from time to time when she sees a wrestler she likes.

On Sunday, Kevin & Bradyn went to the Boulevard Casino for the Show 'N' Shine event. While I hear there were lots of great old cars to look at, the main attraction was seeing Hulk Hogan and a number of other 'old school' wrestlers.

For Uncle Jason, Nana & Poppa

Last Thursday, Sherri, Kiera and Robee arrived to spend 13 sleeps with us. What a blast we are having! In 7 days I have taken 351 pictures (I even forgot the camera a few days) and we've still got lots left to do. Here is just some of the fun.

One tired group of kids. We figured that Bradyn and Kiera would sleep in the same room, but we had no idea that Robee would want to be with the girls too! He has ended up with Sherri the last few nights, but it sure is cute to see them all play together then crash together.

I've always said Bradyn was the most beautiful little girl in the world, but Kiera sure is giving her a run for her money.

Reading

One of the qualities I find so endearing about Bradyn is her love for books. As a kid, I remember going to the library every week and signing out tons of books - I still remember my library card number after all these years! Last weekend Bradyn and I went to the Port Moody library and spent about an hour looking at all the different books and, of course, playing with the train table.

Yesterday, after running around the house while getting herself dressed, Bradyn disappeared. When I went looking for her a few minutes later, I found her sitting quietly in her room, looking at her books. I love how she flips through the pages and, if it's one she knows well, she recites the story out loud as if she was reading it. Our little girl is very particular about the books she likes, as I found out last weekend. I had picked out several books for her but, after flipping through them, she decided they weren't good enough to take home. It seems the pictures were not appealing enough. I guess if you can't read, the pictures have to be good!


Yet again, I am stunned by her beauty. And that sparkly lip gloss - what a fancy book worm.
