A Day With Grandma & Grandpa

A few weeks ago, Grandma Jane & Grandpa Glenn took some really sweet pictures of Bradyn during their day together. I'm absolutely certain that, for the first picture, she either just asked or is about to ask "Whassat?".

She Walked in the MS Walk

Last year, Bradyn participated in the Super Cities Walk For MS via a Baby Bjorn carrier on mommy's chest. This year, she raised $800 in pledges and was out there walking all by herself. (OK, so she didn't quite walk the whole 6 km but she did walk a little at the beginning and a little more at the half-way point. We'd still be out there walking if she did it all.)
By the way, it looks like Kevin's Heroes raised even more money than last year. Thank you so much to all our family and friends for your generous contributions. Your kindness and support is very much appreciated. Let's keep fighting to find a cure for MS.

She's Walking

Bradyn stood by herself for the first time on March 10, and took her first 2 very tiny steps on March 18. It seemed to be a slow process, but I can't deny it anymore - she's walking. Last week she was definitely still crawling more than she was taking those tentative steps. However, it was over the weekend that she suddenly seemed to figure it all out. When I picked her up from daycare today, one of the ladies was in absolute awe at how much more she's walking today compared to Thursday. Kevin and I still sit and just stare at her. At first she seemed to be floating in the middle of the room as she stood there and now she's everywhere. It just amazes me to watch her pop herself up into a standing position and then off she goes. You can tell she's so proud of herself too. She gives you big smiles and cheers whenever you compliment her on how well she's doing.
I guess this means we're officially out of the infant stage and on to the toddler phase...
