It's Bloody Hot!

I admit that I've been spoiled and have become pretty soft when it comes to weather, since I've lived in BC. I am just not used to these hot summer days anymore. Yesterday it was something ridiculous like 34 Celcius without a cloud in the sky and today is shaping up pretty much the same. Poor Bradyn just isn't used to this, so we broke out her little Dollar Store pool to cool her down - it's the perfect size! Much to Kevin's dismay, we moved the playpen into his Media Room and last night we all slept in the basement where it was almost tolerable. This afternoon Bradyn and I are going to the movies with some of our Mommy & Me friends to hang out in the air conditioning. Hopefully it will be a little cooler when we get home.

Meeting Grampa For The First Time

Arriving at the London airport was a pretty emotional event because Dad was meeting Bradyn for the first time. After being a perfect flyer (she slept 3 1/2 of the 4 1/2 hour flight to Toronto and the whole flight to London), she had big hugs for Grampa. I sure am glad dad's coming to visit at the end of August because it was so hard leaving, knowing I was taking his grand-baby away from him.

The Jolly Jumper

We put Bradyn in the Jolly Jumper for the first time on Saturday and she had a great time. (OK, so it wasn't really the first time. Mom put her in one when we were in Ontario but I didn't watch so it didn't count.) Since she already loved walking so much, this is just a natural progression and I don't have to hold her to do it! I think Mommy's going to be using this thing a lot....

Happy Father's Day

Although Kevin had to work on his first Father's Day, he did get to spend some quality time with Bradyn last night before she had to go to bed (we're working on an earlier bed time and so far it's working pretty well). They read 'Why I Love My Daddy' together and got in a few cuddles. I sure do love watching them together.
Bradyn also gave us a special present on Father's Day - she rolled from her front to her back twice! I'm glad I caught it on the video camera, because she hasn't been at all interested in doing it since. I guess my days of leaving her lying wherever I put her down will soon be over.

Bradyn's A Swimmer

On Monday, Aunt Sherri, cousin Kiera, Bradyn and I went swimming at the London Y. Bradyn had a blast! She was all smiles while we splashed around and sang songs. She loved floating on her back and bouncing up and down in the water. The best part was when she got dunked under the water and didn't even cry. She just blinked and kept on going. We are definitely going to have to find somewhere to go swimming again when we get home. Oh yeah - swimming also makes babies sleep really well when all the excitement is over.

I Have Two Grampas Too!

Mommy says that on Monday, we're going to get on a really big plane and fly to Toronto. Then, we're getting on a little plane to fly to London. That's where I'm going to meet my Grampa for the very first time. My Gramma that taught me to make cookies came to see me when I was just new, but Grampa couldn't come. So now, I'm going to his house to see him. Mommy said he'll give me so many cuddles that nobody else will get to hold me and that he's very excited to see me. I'm excited too! Grammas and Grampas give the best cuddles!
This is a picture of me with my Grandma and Grampa that I see all the time. They always give me lots of cuddles and tell me stories. They also look after me so Mommy & Daddy can have alone time together. We have lots of fun.
I sure am a lucky girl to have so many Grammas and Grampas that love me.
