Swimming In The Yard

Yesterday, the weather was toasty warm, so we got out Bradyn's pool and spent most of the afternoon in the yard. She actually had a shallow end and a deep end, because our yard is on a hill.

Inspecting her toes to see if they're blue, after declaring "It's COLD!"

"Ta-Da"

I don't know what it is, but I love this picture. Bradyn was doing this funny little dance, waving her arms all around, and having such a great time. This is what it's all about.

Showing off her synchronized swimming skills.

Look out Sports Illustrated.

This one's for Kiera and Robee.
I'll warn you... this video is a little over 5 minutes and it seems to drag a big, but the big picture is pretty funny. There's a Groundhog Day movie quality to it, you'll see a bit of Bradyn's obsessive compulsive side, and she even does a play by play commentary for the Hide & Seek game played by her rubber balls.
Kids - gotta love 'em.

(Shoot - video won't load - I'll try again later)

Day Of Fun

Last weekend, we headed downtown to finish up our stamp collecting for the 2009 Tourism Challenge Pass. Our first task was a ride on the Vancouver Trolley from the Convention Centre to the Space Museum.

Is this not the cutest astronaut you've ever seen?

(Daddy had to prop her up because she was too short!)

We told Bradyn that we were going for a ride on a rocket ship, and headed up to the Planetarium to watch a show on stars and planets. The reclining seats were great, and I think she really believed we were in a rocket! (Not the first, or last, little white lie we'll tell her, I'm sure.)
After a quick walk through the Vancouver Museum, we headed over to the Aqua Bus, and made the trip over to Granville Island for a treat.

Despite the tantrums, meltdowns and talking back (I mean Bradyn you guys, not me), it turned out to be a pretty fun day. Now that we have our 15 stamps, we have earned another year-long pass to a number of Vancouver area attractions. Maybe this year we'll actually use it more than once.

She Sings, Too

Sherri tells me that Robee and Kiera love to watch Bradybug on the computer, so here are some special videos.

First up, the theme song for Edge, a wrestler in the WWE.
(I'm sure he'd be mortified if he knew a 3 year old girl was singing his song while dancing with her Barbie.)

It's probably a toss-up, but I think this is Daddy's favourite... 'Popular' from the musical Wicked.

Dancing Queen

A few weeks ago, Bradyn started taking a creative dance class, offered through a local community centre. We know she loves music and dancing, so I thought it might be fun to enroll her in an actual class to see how she liked it. Two words sum it up - Too Cute.

Before the class even started, Bradyn and a little girl she met, warmed up on their own. The second Bradyn saw those mirrors, I knew we'd be in trouble.

Checking herself out. (NOT for the first or the last time.)

"Yep, I'm good"

Warming up ... touch your toes...

... touch the sky ...

... stand like a ballerina ...

... dance like a ballerina ...

She loved the ribbons.

I think this is my favourite picture. You just know she's having a wonderful time.

Checking her form ... again.

Dancing like a butterfly.

Cool down stretches.

Getting their stickers, for a job well-done.

"But I don't want to leave ... I want to keep dancing."

I think it's a good thing I signed her up for the next session too.

Our T-Ball Star

Last month, the Easter Bunny brought Bradyn a T-ball set and baseball glove. Although she prefers you to wear the glove and drop the ball into your hand, she has one mean swing!

Lining it up...

...making contact...

... and look at that follow-through! What form! Pivoting on her back foot and everything.

Think we have a star?
(I LOVE the continuous shot feature on my new camera.)
