Christmas 2011 Pics

Despite being very green and wet, we had a great Christmas this year. Nana & Poppa arrived at 11:30 am Christmas Eve and the whirlwind just went on from there. As soon as we got home from the airport, Nana & Bradyn started making the gingerbread cookies that Bradyn would be leaving out for Santa and Mrs. Claus. Then Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Dallas and Aunty Ita arrived, and the Reeves Christmas celebrations were in full swing.

Our adorable little Miss B, on Christmas Eve.
I love this picture of Bradyn eyeing the gigantic bag of gifts from Uncle Dallas & Aunty Ita.

She went all the way to the bottom of the bag to make sure she didn't miss anything - thanks for all the Lego!!

Putting the finishing touches on her note to Santa and making sure that the milk and cookies were in order.

I have to say that Christmas morning was a lot of fun. We had a slow start (maybe around 8 or so) and continued on at a leisurely pace. Stockings, followed by breakfast and opening presnts with Sherri & Jason, Kiera and Robee via Skype on the internet. More presents and then a light lunch. I don't think I actually got out of my PJs until 3:00 Christmas Day!

How many people does it take to get a turkey ready for the oven?

I'm not sure who was more excited about Bradyn's Star Wars Republic Attack Shuttle from Daddy - her or Kevin. (although I'm sure he wasn't too thrilled when Bradyn and Diana were putting their mini Lalaloopsy dolls in the cockpit later that week)

Proudly showing off the Lalaloopsy doll that Santa came through on. (phew)

I don't care how many people it took to cook that bird - it was awesome!

What a beautiful sight - our moms in the kitchen taking care of dinner - thank you!!!

On Boxing Day, Kevin and Bradyn set themselves up at the dining room table to assemble her Star Wars Lego from Grandma & Grandpa - Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle. Even though it says the level of difficulty was for 9-14 year olds, Kevin said that Bradyn essentially put the thing together herself. Luckily, there is a TON more Lego just waiting to be assembled.

Watching TV with her beloved new Rapunzel doll from Santa.

Later in the week Kevin gave Nana and Poppa the grand tour of the 'new' convention centre. Last time they were in town was right before the 2010 Olympics, so the convention centre was under tight security.

Here are Bradyn and Rapunzel, gold medal winners for being too cute.

We also checked out the Blodel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park. The best part was, as we were walking in, Bradyn enthusiastically yelling "Mom - it's a jungle - we're going into the jungle!"

As with every visit, Nana and Poppa left all too soon, but we had a wonderful two weeks.

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season too!
