She's On The Move

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that Bradyn had just started the motions of 'real' crawling. Well folks, I'd have to say she's pretty much a pro now. She's all over the place! When she gets it in her mind that she wants to get somewhere, the head goes down and she just motors. Sometimes the knees get going faster than the hands and she ends up on her face, but she just picks herself up and continues on her way. We have to really watch her when she's on the couch or the bed now because she doesn't hesitate to try and crawl right off - head first.

I used to love when she wanted me to hold her hands so she could walk around. She would be so happy and we'd have lots of fun. Unfortunately, she wants nothing to do with that now that she can move on her own.

Bradyn's new favourite trick is walking along the couch or the coffee table. This afternoon she even dared to reach out and move from one to the other. I suspect she'll have that trick mastered in a day or two. Didn't someone warn me that once they do that, walking is close behind? Yikes! Why didn't I listen to those people who said 'Be careful what you wish for' when I kept saying I couldn't wait until she was walking. Apparently Kevin and I both started walking at 10 months. Maybe Bradyn is working on a special Christmas present for Mommy & Daddy.
