Halloween 2015
Halloween was a month-long affair this year. Early in October Bradyn, Diana and I headed to the Laity Pumpkin Patch for our annual pumpkin purchase. We were prepared for the forecasted rain, but managed to escape it until the very end when we were washing our pumpkins before paying for them. I was a little worried that the girls were getting to an age where they might think the displays were a bit lame, but I was pleasantly surprised when they went running from one thing to another, with enthusiasm.
For Poppa
Yes, Diana has grown just a little bit.

Note to self: Don't buy pumpkins so early next year - we had one rot a week before Halloween!
Panorama had their annual school costume parade on October 30. I went over at lunchtime to help Bradyn dye her hair again. I have now come to the conclusion that Bradyn's hair will never be dyed brown. Last year we used brown hair colour spray and it went reddish. This year we used brown washable Crayola markers and it went reddish. In any case, she looked awesome.
Here is Bradyn with a few of her friends.
Bradyn decided that this year she wanted to be Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. I wasn't about to pay $40 for a jumpsuit costume, so we headed off to Value Village to see what we could scrounge together. Here is the photo of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss that we used to find our gear.
And here is Bradyn's version. We were so excited! Black pleather jacket, green cargo pants, black belt and black boots for under $30. Add the bow & arrow set and I think we did pretty darn good.
Notice the arrow tip? Pencil eraser tips painted silver - the red suction cups just wouldn't do. LOL
After the big Halloween festivities at school, Kevin and Bradyn headed out to Cloverdale for the ECCW Halloween Hell wrestling show. Unfortunately, they didn't get to meet Shayna Baszler in person, but Bradyn did get to 'hang' with some of her favourite ECCW wrestlers after the show.
After getting home late Friday night, Kevin & Bradyn headed out to Abbotsford early Saturday morning for a meet and greet with Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke - 2 of The Four Horsewomen members.
After telling Shayna that Bradyn is studying Jiu-Jitsu, Bradyn put a rear naked choke on her!
We got the pumpkins carved on Saturday afternoon and then trick or treating time was upon us. Harper wore Avery's Supergirl costume this year.
Our creations (the warty pumpkin was too tough to carve!)
Katniss and the cracked porcelain doll.
Counting all the loot after 2 hours of trick or treating. (I'm still bitter about Bradyn trading her ONLY bag of crunchy cheesies to Diana - and she wouldn't even let me BUY them off of her)
"All the peanut ones are for Aunty Ita because they're her favourite"
Another fun year.
