Victoria
It seems to take me longer and longer to get my photos posted these days. Sorry. In order to get this done today (finally), I will try to keep my comments to a minimum. LOL
On June 28, Kevin, Bradyn and I headed over to Victoria for a mini vacation. When Bradyn found out that there were 2 parking lots, a store, a restaurant AND an arcade on the ferry, she couldn't wait to get the trip started.
On the way to Victoria, the BC Ferries Coastal Naturalist taught us all about sharks, and Bradyn was very excited to help out.
First up in Victoria was Miniature World. This place is AWESOME!!! So many scenes, from war to fairytales, landscapes to homesteads - coolest thing ever. The new addition for this summer was a Camelot exhibit. Neat!
After lunch (at a very cool Hot Dog restaurant), Kevin & Bradyn headed to the Bug Zoo while I did some tourist shopping. (no bugs for me thanks)
I just don't get why she is so happy about having bugs crawling on her. Uggg
You had to be at least 18 to hold the tarantula - Bradyn was not happy about that.
After the bugs, we headed to Cherry Bomb Toys where I felt very old - my childhood toys are considered vintage!
Then, Legends Comics - one very happy Kevin.
How do you get a miserable 8-year old to smile for a family photo?
Tickle her.
I love this - Bradyn told us we had to scrunch down so she could get the words on the Empress Hotel in the shot.
In front of the parliament building.
Lookout point on our way to Cowichan Bay.
On Monday night, we headed to The Keg to celebrate Kevin's and my 14th anniversary. Bradyn tried her first wedge salad and loved it. So much so, that she has had several at home since.
Patriotic or tacky? You be the judge.
Gorgeous.
14 years - crazy.
On the ferry home, Bradyn checked out the shoreline through the telescope....
... and helped another naturalist teach the passengers about the various climates in BC.
Another family selfie, and fun family trip.
