Bradyn's First Visit To Stanley Park

On Thursday afternoon we went to Stanley Park for a picnic. (Actually, it was more of a junk food-fest, but it still counts.) We parked ourselves under a tree near the cricket field but unfortunately, there were no games going on. Bradyn had a great time, playing with her toys and looking around at the scenery and all the people. It's so much fun to watch Bradyn now that she's sitting up on her own. We have to stick close by because she still has the occassional face-plant or fall backwards, but it's so exciting to watch her correct herself when she does start to fall. Of the whole day, though, I know her favourite part was playing with those toes of hers. She's fascinated with them these days.
After a while it got a little chilly in the shade, so I put on her yellow sweater. I say it's hers, but she's actually the fourth owner - myself, Aunt Sherri and Brady's cousin Kiera all wore it before her. I think that makes it an extra special sweater.
Bradyn's next big adventure comes next week when we go to Seattle and Leavenworth. We're hoping to catch the Mariners-Blue Jays game on Wednesday, drive over to Leavenworth, a Bavarian-themed town, on Thursday, then up to Tulalip on Friday so Brady and I can shop while Daddy checks out the casino. I have lots of big plans, but we'll see how things go. Kevin and I both know that Bradyn is pretty much the one in charge on this trip and her moods (not mine, for a change) will determine how far we go and what we get accomplished. Wish us luck!

Bradykins, you're always smiling now! I bet you're becoming like grandpa and are just happy to sit and people watch. Next time we come out you'll have to take Kiera to Stanley Park and we'll go see the Beluga whales at the aquarium.
