Teddy Bear Parade & Picnic

Last Sunday marked the date for the annual Teddy Bear Picnic and Parade, which takes place just down the hill from our house. As a lead-up to the parade, a local toy store had a special visitor on Saturday - Mrs. Norwood Mouse! What? You say you don't know who Mrs. Norwood Mouse is? Why, she's a Calico Critter silly (and we all know Bradyn loves her Calico Critters). When we got to the store, the mouse was nowhere to be found. Turns out she was on her lunch break, so Bradyn played with all kinds of toys during our 20 minute wait. When the Mrs. finally arrived, there were 3 little girls waiting anxiously. Bradyn was absolutely over (and beyond) the moon when she finally got to see the beloved mouse. I couldn't help but get caught up the in excitement myself - it was contagious!

Showing Mrs Norwood Mouse how to do ballet.

On Sunday morning we met up with Diane and Jack for our annual tradition. The kids were so cute as they watched everyone go by.

I have no idea what this was, but they just had to hug it.

Another tradition - face painting!

Believe it or not, Bradyn stood patiently in line for 40 minutes to get this balloon creature. I kept asking if she was sure she wanted to wait, and the answer was always yes. She just had to have an octopus.

Let's hope the weather is just as good next year.
