East Coast Christmas

And now, Christmas Part II.....

Here are Robee, Kiera and Bradyn watching Thamesford's annual Santa Claus Parade. I think it actually lasted a whole 15 minutes this year, but it was fun (and not bad for a town with a population of about 2,000).
Cuddling with Poppa, watching Glee on Kevin's iPod.

I was determined to get a picture of the kids with Santa this year. Unfortunately, this was as close as I got - waiting in the line-up. After convincing Kiera to actually go to the mall, my charm stopped working. There was no way she was going anywhere near the Big Guy. Robee changed his mind at the last minute, so I have another picture of just Bradyn and Santa at the mall.

Do you believe it? I have a picture of all 3 kids looking at the camera at the same time!!!! (too bad it's fuzzy) Wearing their Christmas PJ's after hanging their stockings but before putting out snacks for Santa & the reindeer and checking on the computer to see exactly where Santa was on his journey.

Listening intently to Aunt Sherri reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Cuddles between opening presents on Christmas morning.

Here's Bradyn, doing what she does best while wearing skates. (What do you mean you aren't supposed to crawl on the ice?)

All dressed up on Boxing Day, parading her new puppy around. (no people, I did not cave... it's a toy)

Hanging out at the Children's Museum. Maybe one day Bradyn will actually get to snowmobile for real - it was a big part of my childhood and I'd love for her to experience it.

Helping Uncle Jason glue pieces together to make the roof for her new Barbie house. (I'm having technical difficulties downloading the video, but I'll keep trying)

We saw a poster advertising a local wrestling promotion while in London and lo and behold, it was happening while we were there. I'm sure it will come as no surprise to any of you that Kevin & Bradyn went to check it out. The funny part is that it was held at a bar I used to frequent when I lived in the area (under a different name of course since it has changed hands a few times since my day). Kevin was very excited to message me and let me know that Bradyn was having a great time 'rocking out' to AC/DC, then watching the show from on top of the bar.

I had to laugh when he sent me this picture saying they were drinking beer during the intermission - real beer for Kevin and "kid's beer" (rootbeer) for Bradyn.

In addition to Kiera and Robee, Bradyn also got to play with her other cousins, Kaylin and Maks.... what a group of monkeys.

One of the special parts of our trip was visiting with Great Nana (my dad's mom) - she turned 90 on December 3! I loved that she still had some spunk and was sticking her tongue out at me when I tried to take her picture.

Killing time in the airport, waiting for our flight to Toronto. I would have loved to have a full family photo, but it just wasn't in the cards (again), so I had to take what I could get.

What a great Moody family picture!

Dad and the most important women in his life.

Kevin survived another Ontario winter!

The Barbie house masterpiece all assembled back home, including her furniture from Santa. Thanks again Uncle Jason!

All in all, we had a pretty great Christmas. I have to admit.... I think I like it when it's stretched out over the course of 3 weeks and two provinces.

We always look forward to the Christmases when you guys come too! Maybe next time we can get Grandpa Bill's snowmobile out and go for a ride - or even make some arrangements for some time up North for a real Ontario winter experience for Kevin and Bradybug!

Thanks Brenda for sharing your Ontario Christmas with us. I love Bradyn's doll house and how fun that she got to help build it. It reminded me of the hours I spent with Dad when he was building stuff. I know I was a huge help?? to him.
