Happy Canada Day (and 17th anniversary)
We had a pretty low-key long weekend, which is just fine with us. On Saturday, we headed to Lafarge Lake for the festivities celebrating Canada's 150th birthday.
Bradyn loved this game last year and couldn't wait to try again.

In addition to Canada's birthday, it was also Kevin's and my 17th wedding anniversary. 17 years!!??! Can you believe it? This September we will have been together for 20 years. It still amazes me that Kevin has put up with me for this long. ;-)
As you can see, the city created a giant maple leaf out of flowers on the side of the hill in the park for a unique photo opportunity. Bradyn sat at the bottom, begging us to come down for a photo. When we finally got down to her, she pushed the self timer on my photo and yelled 'run' so we'd have a family photo in the leaf. If you zoom in on the picture, you'll see Kevin and I didn't quite make it. (guess that's what happens when the old folks are racing the young kid)
Luckily, there was a lovely family also wanting a photo so we traded off taking pictures for each other.
Nope, not Kevin and me, but even sweeter - Daddy and daughter.
Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend.
