My New Baby

At 9:30 am on Saturday June 30th, I got The Call. After a long 6 1/2 weeks, my new car had arrived on the Mazda lot. It was still on the transport trailer, but Joy (the lovely young lady that sold it to me) could see the shining blue vehicle, and said it would be ready by 4:00 pm - just in time for our Seattle vacation that we were leaving for on Sunday morning.

I'm not sure if Bradyn was more upset about the fact that we were about to take our last drive in the Tribute, or because we wouldn't be here to celebrate Canada Day so she could wear her cowgirl hat. (By the way Nana, Bradyn LOVES the boots - they came to Seattle too!)
Here she is... my 2013 Sky Blue Mica Mazda CX-5 GT - ALL the bells and whistles (well, except for the Bi-Xenon HID headlights, AFS with automatic headlight levelling, navigation system and SIRIUS satellite radio - but who needs that stuff?)

Not sure what my favourite feature is yet... the blind spot monitoring system, the Bose stereo system, the gas mileage that so far looks like it will be almost double the kilometers per tank that my Tribute got... Um yeah - that's it!

Bradyn likes the sunroof.

Hmm. If I keep this vehicle for as long as I did the Tribute (and Kevin kept his Protege), we'll have a 16-year old on our hands when it's time for us to trade it in.... or do we just give it to the kid? Yikes!

Now we're not just a Mazda family, we're a blue Mazda family (although mine looks like it's on steroids compared to Kevin's).

Happy Driving!

Love the new car. Does Kevin feel like he has a matchbox car beside yours. Glad the mileage is so good. Really glad Bradyn likes her boots. I must tell Teresa she was on the money again for telling me to get them that Bradyn would like them and the black ones she got. Happy driving .
