Potty Training Update
For all of those inquiring minds, I thought I'd provide you with an update.... 13 days to go until Bradyn starts at her new school, and, although she is 'trained', there is definitely work to be done. (OK, let's be honest. She's got us trained to prompt her so she doesn't have to think about it.)
Unlike in the beginning when she'd go every few hours, we now have our strawberry timer set for every 45 minutes. (Frustrating) There are a few accidents, but Brady doesn't seem to mind the wet pants, so she doesn't bother saying 'Pee Pee' until it's too late. (Very frustrating) The best part is when the timer goes off, you announce (with way too much enthusiasm in your voice) that "It's Pee Pee Time" and she refuses to go to the bathroom. After hearing her promise "Soon", you find yourself changing her pants 5 minutes later because as it turns out, she did have to go after all. (Want to strangle her)
Needless to say, I have no more Potty Training Tips to share. I am by no means an expert, and I find myself at a loss, just like every other frustrated, desperate potty-training parent out there. We've tried stickers, special raisins, celebrations, timers, diaries, deals....
Any and all suggestions are much appreciated.
