The Carnival

Two weeks ago, Kevin, Bradyn and I headed to a carnival that had been set up in the parking lot of our local mall. We went last year and, although it was fun to see her so mesmerized by the movement and lights on the rides, this year was way more fun - we went on the rides!

Bradyn is so funny... she wanted to go on the carousel but when Kevin tried to put her on a horse, she'd have no part in it. Instead, they chose to sit on the bench and wave at me as they went by.

Heading in to the fun house.

Do you think Brady would be so disinterested if she knew what was behind her head?

Driving the dump trucks.

Proudly clutching her game prizes - a cow won by Daddy and a purse won and picked out by Miss Bradyn herself at the 'ducks floating in circles on the water' game.

Riding the monkey with Daddy. I can't tell you how many times she has talked about monkeys in the last two weeks.

I think this moment was the highlight of the day for Kevin. Yes, that's Bradyn walking with Daddy, holding his hand.

After playing hard, we headed over to East Side Mario's for some dinner. Before we even got seated, Bradyn started asking for her pizza. Not only did she know what she wanted, but she devoured it! As one last special treat, she got dessert.... aren't these the cutest?

Could her eyes get any bigger? I think she was afraid Daddy was trying to take it away rather than help stop the ice cream from falling off.

Do you think she likes ice cream?

As much fun as we had that day, I think the best part is the fact that Bradyn still mentions the carnival at least twice a day. I love the fact that people will ask us if we went to a carnival and saw monkeys because she's telling everyone about it, and they aren't sure if she's making up stories or not. It obviously made a big impression on her, so I can't wait to take her back again next year. Better yet.... let's go to the PNE!

It looks like you guys had a great family day! That ice cream definitely looked good - I think maybe daddy was trying to steal some Bradykins! Maybe some day you can go to a carnival with Kiera and Robee and go on some rides.
