Happy Halloween

This year, Bradyn had two Halloween costumes.

For our mommy group party, after a LOT of coaxing, Miss Bradyn finally donned the gorgeous 'princess' dress I picked up for her in London - it was too big, but I couldn't resist. She looked absolutely beautiful and I got goosebumps thinking about future proms and maybe even a wedding one day. Once I had the ballet slippers and headband on, my princess vision looked more like a ballerina, but she looked great. The best part was, after all the crying we endured getting her into the dress, she wouldn't let me take it off.

On Halloween, I wanted to send her off to daycare in festive wear, but the only daycare-friendly-wear I had was my Old Navy pumpkin shirt. It was huge but, once I got it on her, there was no getting in off. Add a black and orange hat and Voila! Although we didn't go out to trick or treat, she had a great time answering the door and handing out candy. It was so fun to watch her reactions to the kids that came to the door - squeals of excitement, cautious observation, backing away in fear and the constant chatter of 'scary ghost', 'knock on door', 'red eyes', 'scary music', 'more candy'. By next year she'll have 'Trick or Treat' down cold.

I love both costumes! Two very different looks for sure. Sounds as though Halloween was lots of fun.
