Sick Again

OK, so not only is Bradyn working on cold #3 in 7 weeks, but now she has pink eye. The runny nose started Wednesday afternoon but her eyes also started running on Friday. Yesterday they were pretty much a mess of goo, so we took her to a walk-in clinic and lo and behold.... pink eye. She doesn't seem to be in any pain or bothered too much by it, but getting those drops in her eyes sure is a challenge, especially when trying to do it myself. Any helpful hints?

What is this the 2 grandbabies are sick. Are you and Kiera hanging out together or something. Maybe if you put a clean warm face cloth on her eyes and when you take it off you can sneak it in or maybe when she is asleep you could kind of open her eye lid and slip it in. Poor little munchkin.

Poor Kegger was sick quite a bit for the first 6 months or so of daycare, but it really does strengthen their little immune systems, and they get over their colds pretty quickly.

Kaylin had pink-eye once, and while it didn't bug her too much (or really slow her down), the drops were a pain.

We did both the "try to distract her" and put the drops in the corner of her eyes, and the "one of us hold her down while the other puts the drops in" methods. Sometimes one worked, other times the other worked. In both cases speed is vital.

When Jade had it I would lay her down and put something off to side for her to focus on and then put the drops in.Speed is the upmost importance.Gayle Moore
